Vowel / aː /

Pronounce as ARE. Please be reminded that this is a long vowel, as indicated by the colon. So, you have to drag the pronunciation a bit.

'a' pass, last, task, dance, garage, class
        back, pack, fat, mat, rat, cat, mass
        (/ aː / is NOT pronounced in the words in red)

'er' clerk, sergeant, heart

'al' palm, calm, alms
