In the opening paragraph, I intended to say, the way you pronounced the underlined letter in elephant, [not the elephant, as stated above].The mistake is regretted.
ReplyDeleteSimilarly, you will observe that if you pronounce the word, elephant,it has three (3) syllables: e^le^phant. So, the way you pronounced the first syllable is how vowel / e / is pronounced.
